Atrocious for group bookings. Do not use. It was impossible to make a large reservation and involved being transferred, and our calls being dropped. Waste of our time.

Great hotel if you are attending Winsport

We were attending the 2024 Scotties Tournament of Hearts. We had a dog with us and wanted to be close to Winsport. This hotel fit the bill and more. They take dogs and are a 20 minute, or less, walk to Winsport Arena. We had a room with a separate TV/Seating area (totally separate room with door, plus a great selection of TV channels and very nice TVs in both rooms. The onsite restaurant is great. We had one meal there and it was excellent. Generous portions and reasonable price. Though breakfast is not included there is a very nice hot buffet for $12. We worth it. The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. Virtually no noise could be heard from outside. There is ample free parting and the staff were very friendly. We arrive before official checkin and the got us in right away. There are plenty of food alternatives nearby. We picked up food from Subway for our lunch at the curling. Other options were A & W, McDonalds, Wendy’s, Denny”S and OPA. We will definitely stay here again if we are attending anything at Winsport.

Horrible run don’t waste your money

The person at the desk when we checked in was very rude. Asked for clean towels a was told he couldn’t have any brought up to us he was busy thank god I pack my own there’s we’re covered in makeup a grossness. He double charged us for damage deposit when we checked out they couldn’t explain why he did this and told us it would fall off. The breakfast was horrible nothing was ready. They cared more about the “team” there they made that very clear. Highly rude I wouldn’t put my worst person there. Don’t waste your money unless you wanted to be treated as if your not worth there time. Rooms are very outdated for the price you pay.

Disappointing stay

I was not impressed with this hotel at all. Seemed very worn out looking. But what mattered more was the type of service we received - or lack of acknowledgment and courtesy by the reception staff - disappointing. From the time my daughter and I walked in we were not greeted in fact no eye contact made. just a "I can help you here" - no smile, no looking up.. until it was time for me to hand over my credit card. She acted like she couldn't understand my English and had me repeat myself. My English is perfect. Been in Canada for 40+ yrs! Daughter had a Volleyball tournament - came back to the hotel after 10pm - again no greeting at all from the reception staff. seemed odd to me. The breakfast buffet that was included since we were Gold Star Marriott member - was not great either. we will not be staying at this hotel nor will we recommend to others.

Great for what we needed: 1 night with easy off/on Hwy 1 west of Calgary before we headed to Jasper. Everything worked though the shower was hard to work. Comfortable bed & linens, great heat and A/C unit with a constant fan for white noise, clean room (2 queens) with plenty of room for 2 adults, friendly staff and decent restaurant on site serving breakfast (not included with the stay) and dinner. All this for about $150 USD with all taxes & fees; highly recommended and we’d stay here again.
